Colonel Sanjay Kumar Singh (Retd.), Registrar, "Tribhuvan" Sahkari University, is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune, and a distinguished Indian Army officer with over three decades of exemplary service in leadership, administration, logistics, financial management, and institutional governance. Having served in diverse operational, strategic, and administrative roles across the country and in international peacekeeping missions, he brings to the University an exceptional blend of discipline, strategic vision, and organizational excellence.
During his illustrious military career, Col. Singh held several key leadership appointments in the Indian Army, where he led large-scale procurement, logistics, infrastructure development, financial administration, and welfare initiatives. As Director (Procurement and Welfare), he spearheaded strategic procurement programmes, implemented more than ten welfare projects, and oversaw educational and infrastructural development across six Army Schools in Uttar Pradesh. He also played a pivotal role in implementing the National Education Policy (NEP), leading teacher recruitment, strengthening institutional governance, and modernising school infrastructure. His initiatives positively impacted over 25,000 serving and retired defence personnel and their families.
Col. Singh also served with distinction in the United Nations Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea (UNMEE), commanding peacekeeping operations in the Demilitarized Zone and facilitating humanitarian assistance under the United Nations mandate. A recipient of several prestigious military honours, Col. Singh has been awarded the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card, Force Commander Commendation Card during the UN Peacekeeping Mission, Army Commander's Commendation Card, and the Vice Chief of Army Staff Commendation in recognition of his distinguished contributions to operations, administration, and institutional leadership.
Col. Singh holds a Gold Medal in M.A. (Psychology) from Ranchi University and an Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ranchi, graduating in the top decile of his class. His expertise in strategic planning, public administration, financial management, human resource development, and institutional governance continues to strengthen the administrative framework of "Tribhuvan" Sahkari University as it advances its mission of becoming a globally recognised institution dedicated to education, research, innovation, and capacity building for the cooperative ecosystem.
